Inside my

design journey
TEXTILE DESIGNER

HELLO!

I’m Pooja Singh, a textile designer focused on creating original prints, graphics, and surface patterns for fashion-forward brands.

My process begins with researching seasonal trends, studying market direction, and transforming inspiration into fresh commercial artwork that feels modern, wearable, and emotionally engaging.

From bold conversational prints to elegant repeats, I design with both creativity and product success in mind.

My journey so far

1. Fashion and Graphic Designer

2014-2016

I worked on the profile of Fashion and Graphic Designer for womenswear retail brand, Shopnineteen. I was responsible for studying trends, developing garment range based on the mood boards, allocating fabrics and trims based on the designs, approving dummy fits and making graphic t-shirts. I also took care of the sampling for the graphics developed.

2. Graphic Designer

2016-2017

The key responsibility in Gloria Jeans was to develop artworks for printing and co-ordinating with the teams across nations.

3. Assistant Graphic and Textile Designer

2017-2020

I worked as an Assistant Graphic and Textile Designer with JC Penney developing artworks for Kidswear, Womenswear, Menswear and Home divisions. My work there revolved around making graphics and prints for apparels and home, setting up repeats for purchased art and developing tech sheets for vendors.

4. Freelance Print Designer

2020-Present

Took the leap into full-time freelance design, partnering with clients across industries to build modern, thoughtful prints.
